ABOUT THE JOB

As Head of LiveOps at Uplive, you will lead the most crucial division of our business, managing high-impact titles such as. Your role is to drive growth by creating and executing robust product strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and cultivating a high-performing team culture. You will play a key part in Uplive's hybrid transformation, optimizing LiveOps, monetization strategies, and product practices through innovation and automation.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

    Game Strategy Leadership:

    • Division Strategy Development: Formulate and lead the division's strategy, aligning with Uplive's overarching goals, market insights, and team capabilities.
    • Resource Management: Identify gaps in resources or skills and ensure they are filled effectively to support team success.
    • Game Expansion & Monetization: Drive the creation of new features, market expansion strategies, and monetization methods for Uplive's top-performing titles.

    AI Integration & Advancement:

    • Stay Ahead of AI Trends: Keep Uplive informed on relevant AI innovations and integrate them to streamline production and optimize LiveOps.
    • AI Applications: Apply AI-driven tools to enhance efficiency in production, LiveOps, and operational processes.

    Infrastructure and Tool Development:

    • Reusable Product Strategies: Lead product strategies that allow for cross-game reusability and scalability.
    • Tool & Infrastructure Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build the infrastructure and tools needed to support scalable operations and automation.

    Team Leadership & Development:

    • Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide and mentor a diverse, cross-functional team including product managers, game designers, engineers, data analysts, and monetization experts.
    • Promote Uplive’s Culture: Lead by example to uphold Uplive's core values and culture across the team.
    • Team Growth: Recruit and develop talent while maintaining a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative environment.

    Monetization Strategy & Execution:

    • Monetization Plans: Develop and implement effective monetization strategies for Uplive’s LiveOps products, focusing on the hybrid casual model.
    • Retention & Engagement: Drive user retention strategies and optimize monetization mechanics to maximize game revenue.

    Project Management with Scrum Framework:

    • Agile Execution: Apply Scrum principles and methodologies to manage day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Project Oversight: Ensure seamless execution of projects from ideation through to release, optimizing resources and budget allocation across teams.

    Performance & KPI Management:

    • Setting KPIs: Establish and track key performance indicators for game teams, projects, and the division, ensuring that objectives are met and exceeded.
    • Data-Driven Decisions: Use KPIs to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.

    Contributing to Company Strategy & Culture:

    • Strategic Contributions: Act as a key collaborator in shaping Uplive's company strategy, offering insights and feedback to senior management.
    • Cultural Leadership: Help co-create, maintain, and promote Uplive’s company culture, aligning it with our growth and long-term vision.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience: 7+ years in mobile game or app development, with significant experience in LiveOps and hybrid casual titles.
    • LiveOps Expertise: Demonstrated success in designing and scaling LiveOps systems, including retention strategies and monetization models.
    • AI Knowledge: Experience implementing AI products or tools to enhance LiveOps and production workflows.
    • Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in leadership positions, known for building high-performing teams and providing clear direction.
    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to move from high-level strategy to tactical execution, balancing long-term goals with short-term needs.
    • Adaptability & Resilience: Skilled at handling ambiguity, shifting priorities, and working in fast-paced environments.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear directives for diverse teams.
    • Mobile Game & Ad Tech Knowledge: Solid understanding of the mobile gaming ecosystem and ad tech.
    • Passion for Music & Games: Genuine excitement for crafting music-based game experiences that resonate with players.
    • Language: Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
