Position Summary
We are seeking a strategic, adaptable, and hands-on Manager, Talent Acquisition to strengthen internal recruiting capabilities and support growing operations across the US and Canada. This role will own the full talent acquisition lifecycle and act as a trusted partner to hiring managers and candidates.
The position operates as a true generalist role, combining employer branding, sourcing, delivery, and onboarding, while partnering closely with the People & Culture (P&C) organization to help build a world-class Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence. Role is based in Charlotte with hybrid working setup.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Leadership & Delivery
- Own and oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, ensuring delivery of high-quality and diverse talent pipelines.
- Establish recruitment goals, metrics, and reporting to measure hiring effectiveness.
- Manage and mentor recruiting resources, ensuring alignment with best practices and company standards.
- Ensure recruiting compliance across regions including the US, Canada, EMEA, South Africa, Argentina, and other emerging markets.
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Partner with business leaders and P&C teams to understand workforce needs and forecast future talent demand.
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business and operational objectives.
Employer Branding & Attraction
- Develop and promote the companys People Value Proposition to attract top-tier talent.
- Create compelling, search-optimized job descriptions and manage job postings across relevant platforms.
Sourcing, Screening & Interviewing
- Build and maintain talent pipelines through job boards, social platforms, networking, and targeted sourcing.
- Conduct initial screenings and partner with hiring managers throughout the interview and selection process.
- Coordinate interview logistics, feedback, and decision-making.
Candidate Experience & Onboarding
- Ensure a professional, consistent, and positive candidate experience end-to-end.
- Partner with P&C, IT, and site leadership to support smooth onboarding and integration of new hires.
Systems, Reporting & Compliance
- Manage the applicant tracking system (ATS) and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate pre-employment checks including references, background screenings, and offer documentation.
- Provide regular recruitment updates to P&C leadership and business stakeholders.
Visa & Mobility Support
- Partner with Legal, P&C, and Operations on visa and work authorization needs for current and future employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of P&C North America.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Proven experience leading full-cycle recruiting across manufacturing, mining, or heavy industrial environments, including production, engineering, and corporate roles.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business goals into talent strategies.
- Demonstrated experience modernizing recruiting processes using technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
- Bachelors degree
- Experience in manufacturing, mining, heavy industrial, or energy sectors strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Strong sourcing capability, including passive candidate engagement.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed is required.
