Electromechanical Technician

The Electromechanical Technician will be part of the Engineering Department. He/She will be responsible for the assembly, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in printing machinery. The role includes internal machine testing, diagnostics, adjustments, and technical support activities both in-house and at customer facilities..

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the The Head of the Production Department. He/She will be responsible, among other functions, for:

  • Assembly and wiring of electrical and electromechanical systems in machinery.
    • Installation, commissioning, and start-up of new machines.
    • Electrical and mechanical adjustments, testing, and validation before shipment to customers.
    • Troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
    • Preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment.
    • Interpretation of electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and technical documentation.
    • Technical intervention at customer facilities to identify and solve machine performance issues.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machine reliability and performance.
    • Compliance with safety, quality, and company procedures during all activities

Qualifications/ Competencies

  • Minimum Studies: Professional Training (FP) Grade II or equivalent in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Systems, Automation, Mechatronics, or related disciplines
  • Minimum requirements:
  • Electromechanical Technician with experience in industrial machinery.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in assembly, maintenance, or commissioning of industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, motors, drives, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
  • Must be an honest, hard-working, meticulous, and professional person.
  • Highly motivated and capable of teamwork.
  • Availability to travel.
