Position: Director of Quality, Risk Management and Patient Safety

Location: [Raleigh, North Carolina area]

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in integrated case management, quality management, change management, or outcomes management.
  • Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a compact license state is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.

Nice to Have:

  • Master's degree in a health-related field is preferred.
  • Community hospital experience.
  • CPPS and/or CPHQ certification is desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and coordinate hospital-wide quality management programs to ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with core measures.
  • Facilitate Hospital Patient Safety/Quality Council meetings.
  • Prepare and present quality reports for the Medical Executive Committee and Hospital Governing Board.
  • Facilitate hospital risk management activities, including root cause analysis as required.
  • Manage the hospital complaint and grievance process.
  • Manage the hospital occurrence reporting process.
  • Prepare and present complaint and occurrence analysis reports for Hospital Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee, and Governing Board.
  • Coordinate the Medical Staff Peer Review process.
  • Develop and manage the department budget.
