The Opportunity As the Director of Nursing - Emergency Room, you will be the driving force behind our nursing services. You'll report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and lead a team of talented professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold an active and current registered nurse license in the state of Texas (Or compact state license).
  • Showcase outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate proven leadership abilities and a deep understanding of hospital operations.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
  • Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units.
  • Take on 24/7 responsibility for your assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with the CNO to uphold the highest quality, safety, and appropriateness of nursing care.
  • Ensure the clinical staff's competency and manage resources effectively for patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
    • Preferred: MSN or masters in a healthcare-related field.
  • Experience:

    • Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • Certifications:

    • Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by Texas law and regulations; CPR certification.
