Shift: Nights Wednesday/Thursday, 7 PM 7:30 AM

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care. The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible with work hours, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and age-appropriate patient care. You will be responsible for conducting a variety of ultrasound exams, operating advanced imaging equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Imaging & Equipment:
- Adjust techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality.
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor or service provider.
Patient Care:
- Verify physician orders and assess patients for any contraindications.
- Ensure proper patient identification and use appropriate markers during imaging.
- Review ultrasound images for accuracy and clinically acceptable results.
- Prioritize patient dignity, privacy, and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and assist with life support equipment.
Education & Communication:
- Clearly explain procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Follow AIDET principles: Acknowledge, Introduce, Discuss, Explain, and Thank.
- Accurately document all procedures using precise and legible terminology.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
Quality Control & Operations:
- Ensure all studies are accurately documented, stored, and transmitted to PACS.
- Perform quality control checks and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with patient transport, positioning, and discharge as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work environment.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other technologists and healthcare professionals.
- Assist in other imaging modalities when needed.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
Qualifications:
️ Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Sonography Program (Required).
️ Experience:
- Completion of a Sonography Training Program (Required).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (Preferred).
️ Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to follow hospital policies and professional standards.
️ Licensure & Certifications:
- Registered Medical Sonographer (Required).
- ARRT Sonography Certification (Required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
