A global financial institution is looking for a Front Office Tech Lead to drive its digital transformation in Asia. This organization is committed to modernizing its trading infrastructure, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency and performance across capital markets.

The Team

You will lead a team of developers across Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore, focusing on transitioning legacy VBA Excel tools to Python and React-based solutions. The team works on fixed income, equity, and non-linear rate desks, ensuring seamless system integration while maintaining business continuity.

The Role

• Lead a team of 5+ developers across multiple locations.
• Oversee the migration from VBA Excel tools to modern Python and React.js frameworks.
• Drive the adoption of a new global x-asset Python hosting platform in Asia.
• Collaborate with European teams to develop and customize the platform.
• Promote AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance coding efficiency.
• Communicate with business and IT stakeholders to align on project goals and execution.

The Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of experience in front-office development within capital markets.
• Expertise in Python and React.js for API development and software solutions.
• Background in VBA Excel, with the ability to modernize and migrate legacy systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Strong leadership and project management skills in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin/French is a plus).
