How You Spend Your Eight Hours
- Process and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and timely payments
- Match purchase orders to invoices and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process electronic transfers, check runs, and wire payments
- Maintain the accounts payable ledger and ensure accurate recording of expenses
- Support month-end closing by preparing accruals, journal entries, and financial reports
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and within terms
- Respond to vendor inquiries and foster positive relationships
- Identify and recommend process improvements for accounts payable management
What You Must Possess
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or any related field
- One to two years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems (preferably in Sage X3)
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable management
