Operations Director

Job Summary

The Operations Director will oversee all operational activities within the oil and gas company, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry regulations. This role involves strategic planning, resource management, and optimizing production processes to maximize profitability while maintaining high safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency.
• Oversee drilling, production, maintenance, and logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations and company policies.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and operational expenditures.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and KPIs.
• Evaluate and improve operational processes, including supply chain and vendor management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and risk management programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in oil & gas operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of upstream/downstream operations, HSE standards, and industry best practices.
• Proven track record in project management and operational optimization.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
