Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Laundry Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial laundry equipment, working onsite at client locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience working with washers, dryers, and related industrial laundry equipment, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial laundry equipment, including industrial washers, dryers, extractors, and ironers.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues and make necessary repairs.

  • Work with customers to explain repairs, provide maintenance recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.

  • Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service reports.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and service vehicles.

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, equipment technology, and safety protocols.

  • Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and compliance standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required:
    • High school diploma or GED.

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair of commercial laundry equipment.

    • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

    • Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

    • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and hand/power tools.

    • Basic understanding of plumbing and gas connections related to laundry equipment.

  • Preferred:
    • Associate degree or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related technical field.

    • Experience working with brands such as Unimac, Speed Queen, Dexter, Milnor, or Continental Girbau.

    • EPA Section 608 Certification (if working with refrigerant-based equipment).

    • OSHA 10 or 30 certification.

    • Factory training certifications from major equipment manufacturers.

  • Comfortable working in commercial laundry environments with heat, humidity, and noise.
