Job Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE : FF&E DESIGNER
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
POSITION REPORTS TO : Head of Design
POSITIONS SUPERVISED : 0-2
POSITION PURPOSE
To coordinate with the Department Head, lead Designers, operations and commercial teams for all F.F. & E
requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Coordinate with lead designers / operations and commercial teams to determine all FF & E requirements (furniture, fabrics, accessories, and others) of project assigned.
Coordinate with lead designers / operations and commercial teams to ascertain the timeline, budget and deadlines of the project.
Develop design concepts of all FF & E presentation.
Prepare mood boards of FF & E intent for a project together with materials samples.
Create sample boards for client presentations to a high standard.
Coordinate with the suppliers to obtain complete specification of materials to prepare a detailed
specification document.
Source out all materials samples from suppliers
Have knowledge of VE schedules and finishes in order to facilitate the workflow and submissions.
Ensure the finishes to be submitted are inline with project specifications, approved BOQ and budget.
Generate and manage FF&E schedules and keep track of the supply chain (lead times, quantities,
certifications etc).
An ability to hit the ground running and be self-motivated, supported by their previous experience taking ownership of the FF&E on projects.
Prepare material submittals for client submission and approval.
Prepare and update material register related to the project.
Clarify details and questions regarding FF & E design / documentation, where applicable.
Coordinate with project management team regarding issues on FF&E Items.
Design librarian, developing and creating a database of all FF & E design items. Always be aware of the new trend by the suppliers.
Maintaining the program and budget under the direction of the lead designer and Project Manager.
Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project as required.
Attend client meeting and present the materials and finishes in high level.
Support the design team (FF&E / Designers / DC) as required
Establish logical action plans to complete work and provide technically sound solutions within deadline and budget constraints.
Collaborate and work effectively with other co-workers, departments, suppliers or business units.

QUALIFICATIONS\REQUIREMENTS:
Degree / Diploma in architecture or interior design.
Fresh graduated.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point and/or equal program for the production of drawings, mood
boards and presentation material.
In-depth knowledge of local and international suppliers, vendors for various styles FF&E.
