Job Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE : SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

POSITION PURPOSE
Preparing and managing ID and joinery drawings from pre-concept stage to a fully detailed design package in accordance
with all necessary design support documents and client requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Maintain and keep track of Design department Management Procedures.
Lead the project by preparing schedules, registers and setting internal deadlines in order to meet the project timeline.
Lead design and built internal and 3rd party projects.
Study the projects and prepare RFIs, drawing register, material register, material submittals, material sample boards and
keep track of documents issuance.
Lead group of interior and MEP designers for the internal projects and discuss complex details and equipment, providing
solutions based on discussions with experts, project managers, site engineers & industry leaders.
Attending client meetings, discuss project details requirements and gain client approvals of the design.
Communicating design approvals with landlords and make sure the design is in correspondence with landlord design
guidelines / LODs and site.
Evaluating design packages according to standard methodologies and policies of the firm, landlord design guidelines,
authorities regulations as well as the project contract.
Coordinate with designers / commercial / procurement teams for all specified and proposed materials
Coordinate with suppliers about cost and lead time of materials and propose alternative options in accordance with design
specification.
Keep track of the CPA - Critical Path Analysis - for all internal projects.
Issue drawings, receive comments, amend changes, get client approval, and issue drawings for construction.
Attending site visits, coordinated site meetings with all other subcontractors and consultants and make necessary changes
to the approved shop drawing based on site condition and dimensions prior to production / construction.
Attending internal weekly meetings with operations team
Prepare and submit design weekly report to operations team.
Receive, checking & tracking shop drawings from subcontractors and to coordinate with other trades
Responsible for MEP & ID Design/Shop Drawing coordination requirements
Preparing & guiding the team in producing joinery and interior shop drawings by reviewing consultants
drawings carefully. Proposing VE options to achieve the final design look coordinated with commercial,
production & project managers.
Receive and track IFC Design drawings from consultant & analyze the scope of work in respect with the contract Bill of
quantities.

QUALIFICATIONS\REQUIREMENTS:
Degree / Diploma in architecture or interior design
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
Expert in use of software: AutoCAD
