Requirements:
Education:
1. 10 years of schooling before entering the Nursing programme
2. Degree in Nursing (Bs, Ms, PhD)
3. Professional registration in the country of practice
English language:
Intermediate English proficiency with the intention to take either IELTS or OET test:
IELTS (minimum score of 7.0 in listening, speaking, reading and 6.5 in writing)
OET (minimum score of B in listening, speaking, reading and C+ in writing)
Work experience:
At least 6+ months in Mental Health / Psychiatry
NMC registration:
Part 1: CBT (done online before nurses come to the UK)
Part 2: OSCE (nurses will sit this exam in the UK within 6 months from the employment start date)
Expenses:
Covered by the Trust:
OSCE, NMC registration, Visa costs, Travel expenses, Accommodation (up to 3 months)
Covered by the Nurse:
IELTS/OET (£155), CBT (£83), NMC Application (£140), NMC Registration (£153)
Salary scale*:
Before completing the NMC registration: £21,800 (Band 4)
Once candidate completes the NMC registration: £25,900 (Band 5) - £31,360 (Band 6)
*Successful candidates will be employed as Band 3 and will have a pay rise opportunity (Band 5) after they pass the OSCE exam which could be as soon as 3 months.
