Senior Accountant

Accountant (Warsaw, Poland)We are looking for a proactive and experienced Accountant to join our team in Warsaw. This role is ideal for someone who is ready to build and structure accounting processes in Poland, while working in an international environment.We are looking for a person who is not afraid of challenges, takes ownership, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a global team.Key Responsibilities

• Build and improve accounting processes within the Polish entity
• Ensure full compliance with Polish accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, CIT)
• Prepare and submit tax declarations in Poland
• Manage VAT reporting and corporate income tax calculations
• Cooperate with local authorities, tax offices, and external advisors
• Support audits and ensure proper financial documentation
• Collaborate with international teams and align local processes with global standards

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Polish Accounting Standards
• Solid understanding of Polish tax law (especially VAT and CIT)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within Polish entities
• Strong hands-on experience with tax reporting and compliance in Poland
• Experience in preparing and submitting VAT and CIT declarations
• Proven experience in building or improving accounting processes is a strong advantage
• Fluency in Polish and English
• Experience with choosing, implementation and integration of accounting software
• Ability to work with Polish tax and reporting systems
• Relevant accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, Biegły Rewident or equivalent) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
