A. PROFILE
Role Title: Senior Regulatory Specialist
Reporting to: Chief Regulatory Officer

B. CONTEXT
Purpose: To act as primary custodian of regulatory data base management and as group administrator for L&R.
To support regulatory team to ensure all activities of company are in compliance with the Telecommunications Law in Myanmar and applicable Legal and Regulatory Framework.
Context:
Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department is among other things, responsible for the creation and processing of all contracts entered into by the Company and for the reliable and searchable storage via data base of all contracting documents. Similarly, L&R is responsible for all regulatory documentation including correspondence, filings etc. Finally, administratively, the Department liaises on an ongoing basis both with internal business units as well as external stakeholders including Government and the Regulator.
C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Facilitation of regulatory filing process with regulatory team including tracking of all correspondence and filings on a timely basis.
- Maintenance of current and searchable data base with respect to regulatory documents.
- Draft responses to queries and other communications for submission to the Regulator and other relevant Ministries in relation to the telecommunications regulatory issues.
- Prepare periodic regulatory reports for submission to the Regulator.
- Support efforts of regulatory team to ensure the business units of the company are in compliance with the Telecommunications Law and applicable Regulatory Framework. Develop familiarity and comprehensive understanding of Myanmar Regulatory Framework.
- Preparation of presentation materials (power point etc.) as required for internal or external use.
- Administrative coordinator for L&R Group, including travel arrangements.
D. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Contributing to timely creation and delivery of all regulatory correspondence and filings.
- Maintenance of an up to date and searchable database of regulatory matters.
- Proactive participation in supporting the efforts of regulatory team.
- Promoting regulatory compliance by the business units while protecting interest of the company.
- Collaboration with relevant stakeholders both external and internal to deliver favourable regulatory outcomes.
- Effective administrative support to L&R Group.
E. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING
Interacts with: who else do they interact with and at what level and for what purpose Internally & Externally
Internal: all internal business units including exec support for other Management Committee members.
External: PTD, other Government Departments and Ministries, other stakeholders
Decision Making
Pro-active decisions regarding appropriate administrative matters (schedules, flights, appointments etc).
Determinations as to best means to action matters as they arise (regulatory reports, regulatory filings, responding to outside requests and from other internal business units)
Describe the kind of decisions made – what they would be related to and whether they would be made independently or in conjunction with others. This could include Delegated Authority levels
F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge
- 3 -5 years in similar corporate environment
- Computer skills with Outlook, Power point, Excel and Word
- Excellent English written and verbal skills

- Corporate experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
