A. PROFILE

Role Title: Energy Control Specialist

B. CONTEXT

Purpose:

The purpose of the Fuel Price Validation role is to protect the company from fuel cost leakage by ensuring that all fuel prices charged are accurate, contractually compliant, and properly approved before payment.

Context

The role ensures transparency, strengthens internal controls, supports audit readiness, and enables management to make informed cost decisions based on reliable fuel price data.

C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Check site availability, power availability, revenue per site and site down status for refueling

· Collect market price information from internal and external sources

· Validate the fuel prices based on collected information

· Perform requested fuel price checks accurately using approved price lists, contracts, or reference sheets

· Accurately enter fuel price data into tracking tools or templates with minimal errors

· Complete all required validation checklists and supporting documents for each supplier in timely manner

· Identify and flag unusual, incorrect, or missing fuel prices to the Senior Engineer/Specialist

· Maintain proper filing and documentation of invoices, approvals, and validation evidence

· Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation

· Support audit and review activities by providing requested documents promptly

E. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING

Interacts with:

Internal Partner Management Team, Regional Network Operations team, Procurement, Finance, Regional business team

External: Power/Tower Companies, ZTE MS Team

Decision Making: Get approval from Senior Operation Manager

F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in network operations support, maintenance support, finance support, or data checking roles

· Understanding of telco passive infrastructure

· Junior professional with strong attention to detail, basic pricing and invoice knowledge, and willingness to learn fuel cost control processes under supervision.

Minimum Entry Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics & Telecommunication, Network Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
