A. PROFILE

Role Title: Treasury Manager
Reporting to: Treasury Senior Manager
Division: Treasury
Department / Section: Finance

B. CONTEXT

Purpose: To support the Treasury function to monitor and manage Company Treasury & corporate finance matters (including but not limited to):

  • Timely process payments to vendors.
  • Drawdown & Timely repayment of loans and related interest, execution of foreign exchange transactions
  • Daily monitoring of cash and Transfer of Funds as required between banks. Monthly cash flow.
  • Monthly Controls/Reconciliations on time including mobile money reconciliation.
  • Monitor collections/Sales order release
  • Ad hoc projects including facilitating systems integrations.
  • Adherence to Treasury policies, processes and systems

Context: Finance Department sets the strategic direction and runs day to day operations of all finance, procurement and supply chain activities. Finance Department also ensures the company growth plans are managed from a financial perspective and profit targets are achieved within an acceptable level of risk.

In order to run the daily treasury's operations, manager treasury' role is very vital since, the roles requires to make sure that the collection is received in time without any delay and the payments are made with in due dates.

C. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Make sure to receive the collection on time.
  • Supervise all the payments to be made as per the approved policy.
  • Strive to keep the cash balance in operating bank account at optimal level.
  • Ensure to update the list of authorized signatories with the banks.
  • Ensure the bank charges on account of various banking services to be deducted as per the agreement
  • Ensure to provide the required MIS and other related information to AP/Bank recon and others internal stakeholder
  • Review all the required reports as prepared by the team for onward submission to the senior manager
  • Coordinating with Banks for Operational matters and Foreign exchange transactions
  • Manage the FESC application to Government CBM FEMD
  • Monitoring directives changes which announced by CBM
  • Setting & reviewing KPI and performance evaluation
  • Coordination with internal & external auditors

D. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Payments to be made within due date subject to availability of all required documents with zero error.
  • Collection to be received as per the agreed banking arrangements.
  • Managing cash balance at optimal level.
  • Satisfactory operational audit of treasury.

E. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS & DECISION MAKING

Internal: HR, Finance, S&D, B2B, Legal, Mobile Money

External: Banks, Vendors

Decision Making

Describe the kind of decisions made - The lead time for the payments to be made after receiving the RFP by treasury in consultation with the team and departmental head.

F. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

  • 7-10 years of experience is desirable with minimum 5 years of experience in treasury, the experience in banking is added advantage

Minimum Entry Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance; MBA would be advantageous
  • Professional Accounting Qualification – CA, CMA, ACCA or similar qualifications would be advantageous
