Job Overview

We are hiring a Senior Legal Manager to lead and support legal matters for overseas operations, with a primary focus on Indonesia. This role will act as a key legal business partner, providing strategic legal advice, managing regulatory and compliance matters, and supporting complex commercial initiatives. The position has strong future leadership potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal management for overseas business operations, primarily Indonesia, and provide legal advice on major business decisions

• Support cross-border transactions, partnerships, and strategic projects, including legal due diligence and risk assessment

• Participate in major commercial negotiations and ensure legal risk mitigation

• Manage and coordinate external law firms on litigation, arbitration, regulatory matters, and dispute resolution

• Monitor regulatory and legal developments in fintech / financial services / internet sectors and assess business impact

• Advise management on compliance strategies and regulatory responses

• Collaborate with and potentially lead a local legal team in Jakarta in the future

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Law or above

• 8+ years of legal experience preferred (flexible based on overall seniority)

• Industry experience in Fintech strongly preferred; financial services or internet platforms acceptable

• Experience supporting overseas or cross-border business operations

• Solid knowledge of Indonesian legal and regulatory environment (direct or indirect exposure)

• Prior team management experience or clear leadership potential

• Strong commercial mindset and ability to work independently

Language Requirements

• Chinese (Mandarin): Fluent / Working language

• English: Professional proficiency

• Indonesian or Malay language skills are a strong plus
