Your Purpose

The primary responsibility of the Galley Utility is to clean and maintain the Galleys on a daily basis following the cleaning schedule established by the Management onboard.

Your Impact

Responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and any other ships property that he/she is working with, to be responsibly minded for the breakage and loss of any equipment.

To use only ships authorized chemicals in the way and manner theyve been instructed to.

To handle all the Cleaning materials, chemicals and machinery necessary for the daily operation.

Must be able to work with Cleaning Machinery, assigned by the ship. This will include training for the different machinery onboard.

Must follow at all times the United States Public Health Rules and Regulations.

Correctly apply the food safety procedures and food quality requirements related to all processes.

To assist with loading or provisions as directed.

To be aware and follow security / fire / safety standards according to the ships rules and regulations.

Must participate in a training program in order to develop his/her skills in view of future promotions.

Your Journey So Far

Elementary and middle school (8th grade) or higher.

Experience and/or training in the hospitality field considered a plus.

Must be able to speak, read and interpret English. Additional language a plus.

Your Essentials

Passport, visas, certificates as specified by the company and as required for exit from the port of origin and entry into the destination cruising area.

Food Safety/HACCP certificate.
