As Staff Engineer, you are the driving force behind the technical excellence of our fleet. Supporting the Chief Engineer, you oversee the daily operations of the engine department, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with international regulations. You supervise the technical crew, ensuring that maintenance and repairs are carried out efficiently and in accordance with safety standards. You take an active role in training and mentoring engine department officers and staff, sharing your knowledge to build a skilled and cohesive team. By maintaining and optimizing our propulsion, power generation, and environmental systems, you contribute to both the safety of our guests and the sustainability of our operations. Your Journey So Far

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• You have proven experience as a Staff Engineer on board a cruise ship, demonstrating strong leadership and technical expertise.
• Your background includes hands-on experience with marine mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
• You have a deep understanding of environmental regulations and their application in maritime operations.
• You have successfully mentored and trained junior officers, fostering a professional and high-performing team.
• Your ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues makes you a key asset in ensuring smooth operations at sea.

Your Essentials

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Certificate of Competency IMO III/2
• Passenger Ship Familiarization
• Fluent English (oral and written)
• Proven experience as a Staff Engineer onboards a cruise ship
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• A commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
