Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Purchaser:
Job Responsibilities
- Source and procure construction equipment, spare parts, and materials according to company requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier information, pricing, and lead times.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Evaluate supplier performance and build long-term relationships with key vendors.
- Stay updated on market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers to support cost efficiency.
- Handle any issues related to delivery delays, product quality, or supplier non-compliance.
Job Requirements:
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in equipment, machinery, or industrial sectors.
- Good knowledge of procurement procedures, inventory control, and vendor management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
Additional Information:
- Salary: Up to SGD 3,500 +VB
- Working Location: Tuas (Company Pick Up Provided)
- Working Hours: 5 days, Monday - Friday (8am - 5:30pm)
