Our esteemed client, an established MNC, is searching for a Marine Safety & Operations Engineer:

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all marine-related safety matters.
  • Collaborate with external Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHOs) to implement and enhance marine safety practices.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs in compliance with statutory regulations for marine operations, particularly dredging.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive actions.
  • Deliver safety briefings, conduct training sessions, and facilitate toolbox meetings to promote safety awareness.
  • Oversee crew-related safety compliance and coordinate related administrative matters.
  • Ensure correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental regulations applicable to marine and dredging activities.
  • Monitor the safe operation of marine vessels and equipment during dredging projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to process requisitions for tools, materials, and services required for marine operations.
  • Track purchasing requests and maintain supporting documentation, including vendor correspondence and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory on-site, including equipment and consumables.
  • Track stock movement, assist with audits, and ensure items are stored in accordance with safety standards and operational requirements.
  • Manage documentation for technical drawings, specifications, safety protocols, and environmental compliance reports.
  • Maintain and update project records including design revisions, site activities, and operational logs.
  • Support cross-departmental coordination to ensure consistent document control and version tracking.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in marine dredging, marine construction, or related sectors.
  • Valid certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH), minimum Level B or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of workplace safety regulations and environmental standards applicable to marine works.
  • Experience in document management across safety, technical, procurement, and inventory domains is preferred.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills for working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control tools/software.
  • Able to work in offshore or project-based environments and adapt to varying operational demands.
  • Knowledge of marine equipment and dredging operations is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

  • Salary: Up to SGD 4,200 +AWS +VB (1 - 2 Months)
  • Working Location: Bukit Batok
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.00pm
