We're looking to strengthen our editorial team with a part-time junior editorial assistant who is ready to dive into the nitty-gritty details of cloud-based technology (with a focus on backup, storage, project management and VPNs). About the Role
Cloudwards.net is looking to hire a part-time junior editorial assistant. This will be a freelance contractor role with around 15-20 hours of commitment each week. With consistent performance, there may be opportunities to expand these hours in the future. Cloudwards often promotes from within its team, so there is a chance for career growth from this position.
The scope of work for this role will lean heavily on fact-checking our video scripts and articles. However, we also expect to have other editorial tasks for you, such as updating published articles, internal linking and some ad hoc organizational tasks.
Most of the video scripts and articles will require prompt fact-checking to make sure our content can be published on time, so timeliness and efficiency will be crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
Timely fact-checking of articles and video scripts.
Factual updates of articles via WordPress.
Internal article linking tasks.
Other editorial or organizational tasks, as needed.
Required Skills:
Fluent or native English speaker and writer, including grammar.
Experience using WordPress (backend).
Confidence implementing updates to live articles.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently but be able to communicate with the editorial team.
Ability to communicate clearly in a professional, friendly manner.
Ability to work with our project management tool (ClickUp), communication tool (Zulip), and Google Docs.
Ability to work in a timely manner so that editorial articles and video scripts can be published on schedule.
Ideally should have an interest in cloud-based technology, like VPNs, cloud storage and project management.

Compensation
The starting rate for this position will be 10 USD for candidates in Central Europe.
Note: At Cloudwards, we have a compensation structure that takes into account the cost of living of the area where you are based. This means that depending on where you live, our offer may differ from the rate as shown above.
