The schedule may require flexibility, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays and overtime as needed.

Job Summary:
The Janitorial Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across all areas of the site, including interior facilities and exterior grounds. This role ensures compliance with company cleanliness standards, supports operational efficiency, and enhances the overall appearance of the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

Interior Cleaning:

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of office spaces, restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.
  • Dust and clean surfaces, including desks, windows, walls, and equipment.
  • Restock supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper, in restrooms and break areas.
  • Empty and dispose of trash and recycling from designated collection points.
  • Respond to cleaning emergencies (e.g., spills, leaks, or unexpected messes) in a timely manner.

Exterior Cleaning:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of building entrances, parking lots, walkways, and loading docks.
  • Remove debris, litter, and trash from exterior areas.
  • Power wash sidewalks, walls, and exterior fixtures as needed.
  • Clear leaves from walkways and steps during seasonal changes to ensure safety.
  • Inspect and maintain exterior waste receptacles.

Equipment and Supplies:

  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and power washers.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
  • Monitor inventory and request restocking of cleaning materials as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all company requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety and Environmental procedures.
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns, such as broken equipment or hazardous conditions, to the Supervisor.

Additional Duties:

  • Support special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning or seasonal maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure overall site cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Work Conditions:

  • Work may include exposure to cleaning chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and lifting or bending.
  • Operate specialized equipment to safely and effectively clean walls and surfaces at heights of approximately 20 feet.
