Position Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's accounting operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key aspects of the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
  • Analyze financial results and trends and provide meaningful insights to management.
  • Assist with financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Support external audits by collaborating with auditors and preparing requested schedules and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, processes, and internal controls for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay informed on relevant healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards to help ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
    3-5 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
  • Prior accounting experience within healthcare, healthcare services, or a related regulated industry preferred.
  • CPA designation or prior public accounting experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP with experience in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Ability to work on-site in Boston required.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary based on experience ($90,000-$110,000).
