Position Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial records and reporting for multiple clients. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with U.S.-based bookkeeping practices and be proficient in QuickBooks Online. This is a key role that ensures accurate accounting, reconciliations, and financial insights, enabling smarter decision-making for our business clients.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure accuracy across all client accounts
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements, resolving discrepancies proactively
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and vendor payments
  • Process payroll for clients using platforms like Gusto and QuickBooks
  • Generate monthly financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
  • Perform month-end and year-end closings and prepare tax-ready financials
  • Create custom reports and analyze financial data for client-specific insights
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and strategic financial planning
  • Coordinate with CPAs for tax filings and ensure tax compliance
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend optimizations for financial workflows
Requirements
Education & Professional Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certification in QuickBooks Online is preferred but not required
Experience:
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, especially for U.S.-based small businesses
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
  • Experience managing A/P, A/R, payroll, and financial reports across multiple clients
  • Familiarity with U.S. tax regulations and sales tax filing is a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proficiency in:
    • QuickBooks Online
    • Gusto for payroll
    • Bill.com, Melio for AP
    • Google Drive, Slack, ClickUp for communication and task management
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and client relationships
