Our client is a digital services provider operating within the iGaming field. As part of their growth and expansion they are now seeking to recruit an Email Deliverability Manager to be based in their new office in Valencia, Spain

We are looking for an experienced Email Deliverability Manager to help ensure our clients marketing emails consistently reach recipients inboxes. Email deliverability is crucial for maximizing engagement, and this role is focused on both preventive and reactive strategies to maintain and improve inbox placement rates.

You will be responsible for managing email infrastructure, monitoring deliverability metrics, liaising with ISPs and certification bodies, and implementing best practices across a global customer base.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive IP/domain warm-up, allocation, maintenance, and compartmentalization plans tailored for a global audience
  • Utilize deliverability monitoring tools to track inbox placement and identify issues across major ISPs
  • Take proactive corrective actions to improve inbox deliverability, including optimizing Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) configurations
  • Monitor and analyze MTA logs, interpret data, and implement solutions to enhance performance
  • Implement abuse audit processes to protect server farms and mailing infrastructure from misuse
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams, providing guidelines to safeguard email infrastructure from potential risks
  • Recommend and implement reputation management strategies across the client base
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the email marketing industry, with a core focus on deliverability trends and management

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Deep understanding of email as a marketing tool and its role in customer engagement
  • Proven experience in the email industry with expertise in ISP relations, blacklist monitoring, deliverability management, and email infrastructure
  • Strong technical knowledge of key email protocols and standards: DKIM, SPF, DMARC, FBL
  • Familiarity with DNS ecosystem, SMTP protocols, and ESP delivery infrastructures
  • Experience with deliverability and reputation monitoring/tracking tools
  • Skilled in proactive issue resolution with major blacklist agencies and managing email delivery challenges across major ISPs and corporate domains
  • Knowledge of mitigating ISP deferrals at the MTA level and setting up bounce management policies is a plus
  • Experience liaising with email certification bodies (e.g., BIMI, Brand Indicators) is desirable
  • Able to work on B2B freelance agreement remote for the initial months and full in office once the office is open.
