Head of Legal & Compliance

With a commitment to innovation, compliance, and excellence, the organization seeks a proactive and experienced Head of Legal & Compliance to lead and oversee all legal, compliance, and regulatory affairs. Reporting directly to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer, the ideal candidate will ensure the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards while fostering a culture of compliance and ethical business practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain in-house expertise within the Legal & Compliance (L&C) team.
• Act as a mentor and leader to team members, driving professional growth and collaboration.
• Provide strategic advice to the executive team on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Promote and implement compliant practices across the business by:
• Staying updated on regulatory developments.
• Systematically creating, updating, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Delivering training and guidance to teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of compliance obligations.
• Managing regulatory reporting processes and maintaining effective relationships with relevant authorities.
• Supporting internal audits by providing guidance and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Obtain and maintain licenses and certifications critical to the companys operations.
• Pursue compliance with licensing conditions, industry requirements, and best practices.
• Advise on risk management, including regulatory, security, anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and responsible gambling.
• Provide guidance on contractual matters, coordinate dispute resolutions, and manage intellectual property protection.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and other legal documents in line with company interests.
• Strategic Contributions
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the company remains ahead of regulatory challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align legal and compliance strategies with broader business goals.
• Represent the company in regulatory discussions, hearings, and other external forums as required.

Requirements

• A qualified lawyer with substantial experience in the iGaming industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, licensing, and legal risk management.
• Highly efficient, proactive, and capable of taking ownership and driving results.
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English.
