Tax Lead Associate

Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our clients tax team, reporting to management within the same division. The candidate will help the team with tax compliance work and assist with advice offered to a growing number of both local and international clients;

Responsibilities

Candidate shall assist the tax team with:

• The Income Tax and VAT compliance requirements, including the preparation and submissions of Income Tax Returns and VAT Returns;
• Handling MTCA forms, including DDT10, CFR02, Shareholder Registrations, Fiscal Unit Registrations;
• Technical tax matters;
• Handling client communications and attend client meetings;
• Liaising with Tax Authorities;
• Providing quality service to clients;
• Conducting research on relevant tax legislations;
• Preparing the necessary tax forms for share transfers.
• Endeavour to meet deadlines

Requirements

• Part or fully Qualified Accountant (University of Malta or ACCA)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role in Tax
• Positive can-do attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Pro-active and Organised with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
