About the role
This role owns the QA function end-to-end within Trideca's engineering environment, establishing testing standards, building a quality-first culture, and introducing structured automation into a team that has historically self-tested. You will design and implement a test automation framework from the ground up and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, while developing automated tests across APIs, integrations, and Salesforce platforms including Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Data Cloud. Working closely with engineers in an Agile setting, the role focuses on validating complex system integrations and migrations, ensuring data integrity, and embedding quality practices early in the delivery lifecycle.

Specifically, this role will be responsible for;

  • Own the QA function end-to-end — establish testing standards, processes, and a quality culture within an engineering team that has historically self-tested
  • Design and build the test automation framework from the ground up, selecting appropriate tools and patterns suited to a Salesforce-heavy, API-driven architecture
  • Set up and maintain the CI/CD testing pipeline using Jenkins, integrating automated test suites into existing build and deployment workflows
  • Write and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression levels, with particular focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next migrations
  • Test all system integrations across the architecture including Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Data Cloud, Adobe Target, and Google
  • Develop and execute API test suites covering internal and third-party APIs (Sentry SDK, eXin APIs, Salesforce APIs, and others)
  • Validate data integrity and pipeline accuracy across Zero Copy / Data Federation layers, Spark jobs, Segments & Activations, and Salesforce Data Cloud flows
  • Perform migration testing — comparing current-state system behavior against the future-state Salesforce architecture to ensure parity and catch regressions
  • Test personalisation and journey logic within Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and Personalisation Cloud, including guardrails, automated pauses, and data-purging automations
  • Collaborate with engineers to shift quality left — embedding test thinking into design, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies

Essential requirements

  • 3-6 years' automation tester experience
  • Strong coding ability — able to write production-quality test code in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript; this is not a manual-testing role
  • Proven experience building a test automation framework from scratch, not just maintaining an existing one
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce — Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Data Cloud testing is essential; Marketing Cloud Next experience is a strong advantage
  • CI/CD pipeline experience, specifically with Jenkins — ability to configure jobs, pipelines, and integrate test execution into build workflows
  • API testing expertise using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
  • Experience working in sprints and contributing to Agile ceremonies
  • Strong communication skills — able to introduce QA practices diplomatically to a team unaccustomed to a dedicated tester and build trust quickly
