About Role:
We are looking for an AEM Front-End Tech Lead to play a crucial role in the remediation and optimization of AEM-based digital experiences. This role is ideal for a highly technical leader who can drive front-end excellence, ensuring performance, maintainability, and accessibility within an AEM 6.5 environment. If you thrive in an Agile, collaborative setting, this is your chance to lead front-end strategy and execution for enterprise-level AEM solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead front-end development efforts for AEM remediation, ensuring adherence to best practices and high code quality.
- Component & Template Optimization: Refactor and enhance AEM components, templates, and client-side logic for improved usability, maintainability, and performance.
- React & AEM SPA Development: Drive AEM SPA implementations using React, integrating with AEM WCM Core Components and ensuring seamless authoring experiences.
- Performance & Accessibility Enhancements: Optimize web applications for Core Web Vitals, SEO, WCAG accessibility compliance, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, business analysts, back-end developers, and content authors to ensure alignment between AEM front-end development and business objectives.
- Integration & API Development: Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL API integrations, ensuring smooth interaction between AEM and third-party systems.
- Mentorship & Code Reviews: Guide and mentor front-end developers, conducting code reviews and enforcing high-quality development standards.
- CI/CD & Deployment: Collaborate on DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient build, test, and deployment of AEM front-end solutions.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.5) front-end development, including:
- HTL (Sightly) for AEM templating
- JavaScript & TypeScript for advanced front-end functionality
- CSS, LESS, SASS for scalable, maintainable styles
- React.js for SPA implementations within AEM
- AEM WCM Core Components development and customization
- Data layers, with preference for Adobe Client Data Layer
- Performance & Optimization: Proven experience in Core Web Vitals improvements, lazy loading strategies, and front-end performance tuning.
- Build & Development Tools: Experience with Maven, Node.js, Webpack for efficient AEM front-end development and deployment.
- Version Control & Agile Development: Familiarity with Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and data tracking layers.
- Experience implementing automated front-end tests (unit, regression, UI testing).
