About the role

We're looking for a strong BA/QA hybrid to join a fast-moving digital program delivering projects across mobile and AEM-integrated platforms.

This role sits at the centre of delivery — working closely with our delivery team and the client's product, design and engineering teams to ensure requirements are clear, build-ready, and delivered to a high standard.

You'll be equally comfortable shaping requirements upfront and getting into the detail during delivery to validate quality and outcomes.

This is a hybrid BA/QA role. You'll split your time across business analysis, technical requirements definition, and hands-on quality assurance across the mobile app. The right person is comfortable moving between writing a Jira story in the morning and running regression tests on an Android device in the afternoon.

Business Analysis

• Lead requirements gathering and facilitation of working sessions with client stakeholders
• Translate UX/UI designs, features and business requirements into well-formed, developer-ready user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira
• Capture acceptance criteria and edge cases
• Maintain and prioritise the sprint backlog in collaboration with the Project Manager and Lead Engineer
• Translate between business and engineering teams to ensure alignment
• Identify and document dependencies, integration requirements, and technical constraints
• Produce and maintain project documentation
• Proactively manage scope ambiguity; flag risks early and work with stakeholders to resolve blockers
• Support UAT — prepare test guides, attend feedback sessions, triage and log defects

• Manage various stakeholders to align requirements and enable informed and timely decisions

Quality Assurance

• Own the test strategy and test plans across both iOS and Android platforms throughout the build
• Design, write, and execute functional test cases
• Conduct in-sprint exploratory and regression testing on physical devices and simulators
• Validate API integrations — particularly GraphQL queries, AEM Content Fragments, and third-party service connections
• Identify, document, and track defects in Jira; work directly with engineers to ensure timely resolution
• Run cross-platform compatibility testing — ensuring consistent behaviour across iOS and Android
• Support performance, accessibility, and security checks ahead of UAT and go-live
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline quality gates and assist with deployment validation
• Ensure acceptance criteria are fully met before sign-off
• Support UAT and stakeholder validation
• Manage the full testing lifecycle, including the development and execution of automation strategies, handling test failures, and the seamless handover of all testing elements to the client team

Delivery Support

• Help maintain delivery momentum by removing ambiguity and blockers
• Support release readiness and coordination
• Ensure changes are understood across teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement in ways of working

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years' experience working across Business Analysis (BA) and/or Quality Assurance (QA) roles within digital product or technology delivery environments.
• Proven experience delivering solutions across mobile applications, web platforms, and API-driven systems.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum), including ceremonies, artefacts, and sprint-based delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to translate high-level business or product concepts into clear, structured requirements.
• Proven experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation that are actionable for engineering and stakeholders.
• Strong written communication and documentation capability, producing high-quality artefacts used by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing evolving requirements within dynamic delivery environments.
• Proficiency using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, story tracking, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with functional testing and defect lifecycle management.
• Practical mobile testing experience across iOS and Android, including both physical devices and simulators.
• Solid understanding of API-based architectures, including the ability to review and validate integrations using REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience designing and executing end-to-end test scenarios across digital customer journeys.
• Proven ability to work closely with engineering teams within sprint cycles to support delivery outcomes.
• Ability to work independently in a client-embedded consulting environment, managing workload across both BA and QA responsibilities.
• Experience using approved AI tools to improve efficiency in BA and QA processes (e.g., documentation, test case generation, analysis).
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to take ownership, manage priorities, and drive delivery outcomes in fast-paced environments.
