About the role

The Technical Lead will lead the design and delivery of a greenfield integration capability, building and connecting services between a newly introduced third‑party vendor platform and internal enterprise systems. The role requires strong technical leadership with hands‑on capability across .NET full stack development and API‑driven integrations, including building backend services and integration components.

Key Objectives of the Role

• Lead technical delivery for end‑to‑end integrations between third‑party vendor systems and internal platforms

• Provide hands‑on technical leadership across .NET full stack delivery and integration services

• Establish scalable, secure patterns for API‑based connectivity via the organisation's API gateway and internal services

• Ensure solutions focus on connecting systems via APIs rather than building inside vendor middleware tools

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Own technical design decisions for integration services and .NET application components

• Set coding standards, engineering practices, and review design/code for quality, security, and maintainability

• Guide engineers through ambiguity typical of greenfield delivery and new system onboarding

.NET Full Stack Development

• Lead development of .NET full stack components required to support integration outcomes (API, service, and application layers as applicable)

• Build and maintain .NET services and APIs to support internal business processes and system interoperability

• Ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade standards for performance, security, and maintainability

Integration & Backend Engineering

• Design and build backend integration services connecting third‑party platforms and internal systems via APIs and the API gateway

• Integrate with third‑party APIs directly where available, and via vendor middleware where required

• Deliver end‑to‑end system plumbing across vendor platforms, API gateway, internal services, and enterprise systems (e.g. Business Central)

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with internal stakeholders and vendor teams to translate architecture into working solutions

• Identify delivery risks early (dependencies, API limitations, environment readiness) and propose mitigations

What This Role Is / Is Not

This role IS:

• A hands‑on Tech Lead role covering .NET full stack engineering and integration delivery

• Focused on building backend services and API‑based integrations

This role is NOT:

• A dedicated integration‑platform configuration role

• A role responsible for building workflows inside vendor middleware tools

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead / Senior Engineer / Integration Lead delivering enterprise-grade solutions

• Strong .NET full stack development experience (mandatory)

• Strong backend development experience building APIs and services

• Extensive experience with system-to-system integrations and third‑party platform integration

• Experience delivering greenfield implementations or new capability builds

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with integration middleware platforms (e.g. Workato or similar)

• Exposure to ERP or enterprise platforms such as Business Central

• Experience working with API gateways and API security patterns

• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
