General Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Radiology
  • Minimum 2 years experience post specialization
  • Documented experience in Radiology
  • Ability to work autonomously, sharing information and discussing clinical case management with the other members of the team
  • Experience in international and multi-cultural environment is an added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English

Job Specification

  • Responsible for reporting most imaging procedures used in diagnosing medical conditions including mammograms, CT scans, X-Rays, MRI scans and Ultrasounds, and perform interventional procedures.
  • Set up radiology equipment and ensure that it is working properly for accurate scans.
  • Examine patient anatomy, pathology, clinical history and previous imaging
  • Read reports and record results for review by physicians.
  • Interpret information gathered through imaging techniques, communicate results with doctors and patients, write medical reports, and explain treatment risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
  • Provide patients with instructions on properly preparing for imaging in advance of the procedure.
  • Assess and support patients through various diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Undertake minimally invasive techniques to guide and direct a variety of interventional treatments throughout the body.
  • Manage the health and safety of patients and the radiology team by minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Evaluate patient pain levels to determine whether they require physician intervention.
  • Required to participate in departmental audit procedures and other quality improvement/assurance activities as required.
  • Display commitment through actively supporting all health and safety initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director, COO, and/or Administration staff, to meet the goal of providing excellent health care to the community.
  • Maintain and acquire knowledge and skills to perform required duties to meet all hospital, organizational and licensure requirements.
  • Abide by the TTH protocols and guidelines.
  • Follow established guidelines for use and/or disclosure of protected health information.
