General Requirements

  • Completed GCE A Level
  • Minimum 3 years related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven operational supervisory skills and thorough understanding of the role
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work quickly and accurately under pressure whilst maintaining a calm demeanor

Job Specification

  • Participate in daily departmental/ unit briefings.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization and sanitation of assigned work areas.
  • To be fully conversant with the Hospital Emergency and Evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure that the cleaning protocols and procedures are executed accordingly.
  • Help ensure that all areas of the hospital, including guest rooms, public spaces, and administrative areas, are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Monitor and inspect cleaning processes to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
  • Respond to patient and visitor concerns or complaints related to cleanliness.
  • Work with other supervisors with training and education to housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and infection control measures.
  • Maintain a high guest and staff service focus through a can do, flexible and helpful attitude.
  • Deal effectively and courteously with all staff, guests and concerns or requests, and ensure to refer to the HOD when necessary so follow up is actioned accordingly.
  • Help minimize costs through proper usage and handling of Hospital property and equipment.
  • Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and personal protective gear
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and maintenance, to coordinate cleaning schedules and address facility needs.
  • Participate in employee engagement through departmental and hospital events.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for hospital administration and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service within the housekeeping team.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
