General Requirements
- Board Certified / Unencumbered License or registration from home country
- Minimum Post Graduate Specialist Degree
Minimum 6 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities - Additional Fellowship/ Boards preferred
- Current BLS/ ACLS / PALS ATLS certification
- Adaptable and able to work in a multicultural team
- Flexible and able to manage stress
- Must have worked in a hospital with no less than 150 bed capacity
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
- Experience in management of patients with life threatening illnesses and injuries in a hospital emergency room or urgent care facilities
Job Specification
- Assess patients that enter the emergency room immediately and oversee emergency patients recovery.
- Conduct follow-up visits to monitor the patients condition.
- Request the appropriate medical tests and follow a treatment plan
- Develop effective patient care plans.
- Refer patients to the appropriate specialists.
- Ensure that patients are stable before transferring them to the proper department for further evaluation.
- Provide instructions for discharge and any relevant paperwork.
- Maintain the patients medical records.
- Provide and ensure that the best patient care is given through emergency case management, protocol implementation and ensuring compliance with medical ethics
- Maintain good communication and collaboration with other departments within and outside the hospital, including the referral system
- Coordinate with different ER departments to ensure patients receive the necessary treatment
- Data collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting to improve the quality of care
- Promote early and appropriate response to patients according to triage times
