About the job Litigation Defense Associate

Traub Lieberman Straus & Shrewsberry is seeking a Litigation Defense Associate with 4-6 years of experience for its downtown Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated insurance defense experience, including conducting depositions and attending court appearances. Job responsibilities include independent case management, conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and motions, research and analysis, client reporting, time entry, and appearances at case management conferences, mediations, pre-trial settlement conferences, and depositions.

The successful candidate must be a well-organized self-starter and able to manage tasks and deadlines independently, while keeping key stakeholders informed of case status. Our Chicago office offers a flexible work environment with remote workdays. The office regularly plans optional social functions to foster team engagement and connectivity.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois
  • 4-6 years of insurance defense litigation experience
  • Strong writing, research, and communication skills

Additional consideration will also be given to candidates admitted in Michigan, Indiana, and/or Wisconsin.
