About Bluejay

Bluejay builds the simulation, observability and self-improvement layer for Voice AI agents. Within a year of launch, Google, DoorDash, public healthcare companies, public banks, drive-through chains and enterprises on five continents use it, and it handles millions of calls a month.

Founders Faraz and Rohan built infrastructure for Microsoft Copilot and AWS Bedrock before starting Bluejay. The company raised a $4M seed in 2025 from Floodgate, Peak XV and Y Combinator, has sustained seven-figure revenue since, and is a team of about 10 in Union Square, San Francisco.

The Role

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff you will architect and build systems that simulate, analyze and evaluate conversational AI agents across voice and multimodal, and design resilient AWS infrastructure (Lambda, EC2, WebSockets, SIP) for millions of real-time conversations. This is a high-bar, full-ownership role on a tiny team, and it is customer-facing: you will work on-site with some of the largest companies in the world to build, sell and deploy the product.

What You Will Do

• Architect simulation, analysis and evaluation systems for conversational AI.
• Build resilient, scalable AWS infrastructure for real-time conversations.
• Build algorithms and pipelines that surface insights, detect failure modes and keep agents safe and aligned.
• Lead technical execution of projects end to end.
• Work on-site with customers to deploy the product.

What You Bring

• 6+ years as a senior engineer
• Proficiency across the stack, especially databases, AWS and AI engineering
• A track record building high-traffic features at scale and leading technical execution
• An exceptional signal: a strong bachelor's degree and/or experience at a top fast-growing startup
• Strong, personable communication for customer-facing work
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco 5 days a week

Nice to Have

• Strong design opinions from prior systems work
• A highly optimized AI-assisted developer workflow
• Experience handling immense scale as an IC or tech lead
