Are you passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our QA & Continuous Improvement team in Waterloo, Iowa. Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert, leading the implementation of quality processes, including the ISO-9001 quality management system.
  • Best Practices: Identify and leverage best practices in quality assurance and manufacturing processes.
  • Process Strategy: Assist in developing quality process strategies and identify opportunities for improvement across the organization.
  • Quality Systems: Evaluate and interpret industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) to develop robust procedures and instructions.
  • Problem Solving: Support site quality teams, inspectors, and senior leadership to investigate and resolve quality issues, establishing continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Project Management: Lead and facilitate projects from our High-Performance Team Board process.
  • ISO-9001 Implementation: Oversee the installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing engineering, with expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditing.
  • Skills: CORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize expertise to influence the development, application, and maintenance of prevention, root cause corrective action, quality control systems, and protocols.
  • Communication: Facilitate, communicate, and visualize process flows for stakeholders and teams.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with various levels of leadership and individual contributors to influence culture through change management skills.
  • Project Implementation: Implement projects using proactive project management skills and risk mitigation techniques.
  • Solution Design: Design and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs and add value to the organization.
  • Leadership: Lead efforts with minimal oversight, set objectives, and guide others to achieve operational results.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 25-50%.
