About the Company

Our client is a food manufacturer operating a production plant in Arnold, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance is available.

The Role

The Maintenance Superintendent leads a team of Maintenance Supervisors and owns building and equipment maintenance for the plant. You will set the strategy to minimize mechanical downtime and keep production lines running, and lead the development of maintenance systems such as preventive and predictive maintenance and TPM.

What You Will Do

  • Run the maintenance systems to drive performance and control cost.
  • Lead root cause analysis, reliability-centered maintenance and TPM so the plant operates at capacity.
  • Schedule work to reduce unscheduled downtime and disruption.
  • Lead the maintenance team through delegation, planning and organizing of work assignments.
  • Lead plant safety by enforcing policies and procedures in line with federal and state regulations.
  • Solve day-to-day operational problems, from equipment failures to troubleshooting, and prevent recurrence.
  • Partner with the Plant Engineer on the preventive and predictive maintenance program, and use its data to improve.
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs, including equipment reliability, supplier performance and overall equipment effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Maintenance supervisory experience
  • Strong electromechanical skills (PLCs, instrumentation, mechanical and electrical systems)
  • Ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance management systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance and TPM
  • Strong critical thinking, communication and planning skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
