Amboras is an AI-native commerce platform that bundles every merchant tool natively, with an AI agent as the primary interface. It is building a direct alternative to Shopify and the legacy commerce stack, with a real product, 30,000 users and a substantial codebase already in place.

Founded in 2025, Amboras has raised a $7M seed and has a team of about 10 in San Francisco.

The Role

This seat is for a product engineer who is tired of waiting on specs and wants the whole loop. You will own product surfaces end to end, design sensibility included: take a rough problem, decide what to build, build it, ship it, and talk to the merchants who use it, then do it again the next week.

What You Will Do

• Own features from problem to production across frontend and backend.
• Work directly with customers: join calls, watch session replays and feel their pain firsthand.
• Make product calls, not just implementation calls.
• Hold a high bar on craft so the UI feels considered.
• Keep the codebase something the next five engineers want to work in.

What You Bring

• Strong full-stack product engineering in TypeScript, React and Node.js
• Design sensibility and product judgment
• Comfort working directly with customers
• Ability to work on-site in San Francisco
