About the job Counter Agent

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Understand Bank Transfers and Deposits: Handle daily bank transfers and deposits from customers to settle their invoices. Verify the accuracy of transfer details and ensure compliance with financial procedures and regulations.
  • Release Shipping Documents: Issue shipping documents such as the Bill of Lading to the relevant parties involved in the shipping process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of the documents.
  • Calculate and Collect Charges: Determine and collect applicable charges from customers.
  • Solve Customer Issues: Address and resolve customer issues over the counter efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain Customer Waiting Time: Ensure customer waiting times are kept within target levels to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to Procedures: Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs).
  • Coordinate with Internal Counterparts: Work with internal counterparts to facilitate counter-related activities smoothly.
  • Outstanding Collections: Investigate and clear reported outstanding collections, ensuring real short payments are collected.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant field. 
  • 2-3 years of commercial experience in customer service or counter operations.
  • Background experience in shipping industry is preferred.
