About the job Senior Manager for Core Network Operations

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers and technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and guide team members in their career development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
*Network Operations Oversight:*
- Oversee daily operations of the IoT network platform, managing capacity, security, and vendor relationships to ensure optimal performance.
- Identify and implement performance optimization strategies proactively.
- Monitor network KPIs and SLAs to maintain consistent service quality.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure the network platform meets performance standards.
- Lead network deployment, expansion, and upgrade projects, ensuring efficient resource coordination, budgeting, and timeline adherence.
- Manage L3 support and oversee vulnerability management initiatives.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to implement innovative, high-performance solutions.
Operational Process Management:
- Develop and refine operational processes for incident, problem, and change management in alignment with industry best practices (ITIL, ISO).
- Ensure thorough documentation of network configurations, policies, and operational procedures.
- Implement automation tools to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in network operations, ideally within the telecom industry.
- 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Solid understanding of 2G/3G/4G telecommunications technologies.
- Proven experience with IoT connectivity.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SS7, Diameter, GTP) and advanced routing and switching technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, virtualization, and automation technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus.
