About the Role:

Our client, a major player in the Romanian construction materials market, is expanding their regional sales team and is looking for an ambitious and strategic Area Sales Manager to lead operations in Transilvania.

This role offers two possible tracks:

  • Manage a portfolio of products across a larger territory  or

  • Focus on a specific product category (e.g., flooring, tiles, finishes) within a smaller geographic area.

You'll be responsible for building and executing sales strategies, managing local teams, and developing long-term client partnerships that drive growth and performance in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and grow sales performance across your assigned counties or product categories

  • Lead a team of local sales reps (typically 1 per county) and ensure alignment with national strategy

  • Open doors, develop strong client relationships, and close strategic deals

  • Propose and execute category or territory growth plans

  • Track KPIs and collaborate with company leadership on performance and reporting

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics

Ideal Profile:

  • Proven sales experience in product-based industries (construction/FMCG/industrial preferred)

  • Experience managing distributed sales teams

  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking initiative on regional strategies

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills able to open doors and build trust

  • Entrepreneurial mindset thrives in a target-driven environment

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory
