Job Description:

As a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer, you will manage cross-cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure, streamline CI/CD workflows, and ensure robust system performance and security for our insurance and security-focused applications.

You will work closely with development, data science, and client-facing teams to keep platforms running efficiently and securely whether hosted in the cloud or deployed locally for national agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, manage, and scale AWS and Azure infrastructure (ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, AKS, etc.) using Terraform.
  • Automate deployments with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines preferred).
  • Monitor and maintain systems using tools like Sentry, Datadog, or similar platforms.
  • Lead incident response and root cause analysis to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Secure infrastructure using IAM, encryption, backups, and compliance best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers and data teams to improve performance, deployment, and testing processes.
  • Optimize cloud cost-efficiency without compromising performance.
  • Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
What Were Looking For
Must-Haves
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
  • Strong scripting experience in Python and Bash.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD (ideally with Bitbucket).
  • Strong grasp of cloud monitoring, alerting, and logging best practices.
  • Working knowledge of cloud security principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and calm under pressure.
  • Strong communicator and effective team collaborator.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience with large datasets and Earth Observation (EO) imagery processing infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Docker Background in real-time data pipelines or geospatial data workflows.
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications.
