We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing team working with a global organization in the financial technology space. About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in building robust data processing solutions, optimizing pipelines, and ensuring data quality for large-scale platforms. You'll work closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions that support decision-making and regulatory reporting in the financial domain.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and Databricks.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data architecture and processing workflows.

  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines, preferably in Azure DevOps.

  • Ensure the integrity, quality, and performance of data through monitoring and validation tools.

  • Support cloud-based data solutions, primarily using Microsoft Azure.

  • Work with SQL for data transformation, cleansing, and querying tasks.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering and analytics.

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, ideally using Azure DevOps.

  • Solid experience with Git for version control.

  • Experience in cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.

  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and reporting.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of .NET (C#).

  • Experience with Azure Data Lake and other Azure data services.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes for managing containerized applications.

  • Understanding of monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Experience using Terraform or similar tools for infrastructure as code.

  • Domain knowledge in financial services or regulatory reporting is a plus.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues.

  • Adaptability in fast-changing environments.

  • Knowledge of data domains in the financial or FinTech industry is advantageous.
