Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Power BI (Power Query, DAX, Power BI Service, etc.).
    • Prior experience with financial data integration from various sources (ERP, CRM, etc.).
    • Advanced skills in data modelling and building complex financial reports.
    • Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.
    • Expertise in Excel for financial modelling and analysis.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in BI development, with at least 3 years focused on Power BI.
  • Experience in reconciling and integrating data from multiple financial systems.
  • Background in creating and supporting self-service BI solutions.
  • Experience in collaborating with FP&A teams, and cross-functional departments.
  • Nice to have: previous experience in developing financial reports and dashboards for FP&A or finance teams

Responsibilities:

  • Develop & Automate Financial Reports: Build and maintain automated financial reports, including specific KPIs, P&L summaries on various business areas, Cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis. This automation ensures accurate, real-time financial reporting and reduces manual effort, allowing the FP&A team to focus on strategic analysis.
  • Design Financial Dashboards & Visualizations: Create interactive and insightful financial dashboards in PowerBI to visualize critical financial metrics, such as revenue, operating expenses, Voyo, and working capital. These dashboards enable the FP&A team and leadership to monitor financial performance and trends effectively, helping to drive strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Transform Financial Data into Strategic Insights: Convert raw financial data into actionable insights that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities. BI Developers will support advanced analytics like scenario modeling, variance analysis, and sensitivity testing, giving the FP&A team a comprehensive view of the financial landscape for more informed decision-making.
  • Enable Self-Service Access to Financial Data: Implement self-service reporting tools via PowerBI that empower finance and non-finance stakeholders to independently access, explore, and analyze financial data. This ensures that managers across departments have easy access to real-time financial information to support their budgeting, analyzing and forecasting efforts.
  • Customize Financial Reports for Stakeholders: Tailor financial reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers to meet the specific needs of finance stakeholders, such as senior management, department heads, and investors. These customized reports will focus on metrics relevant to each group's objectives, including cost efficiency, margin analysis and profitability.
  • Adapt Reporting to System Changes: Continuously update and develop financial reports and dashboards when new systems or tools are introduced. The BI Developer will ensure that reporting remains accurate, functional, and aligned with new processes, while working to integrate and streamline data from various sources.
  • Reconcile Data from Multiple Sources: Ensure accurate data integration and reconciliation when pulling information from different financial systems, such as ERP, CRM, and accounting platforms. This includes identifying discrepancies, resolving data mismatches, and guaranteeing that reports provide a single source of truth for decision-makers
  • Collaborate with FP&A Analysts: Work closely with FP&A analysts to ensure financial data is structured, integrated, and visualized in a way that supports forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning. This collaboration ensures alignment in financial reporting, reduced workflow and supports scenario analysis for strategic initiatives. Assist in building advanced financial models and scenario planning tools within the BI platform, supporting FP&A analysts in creating forward-looking financial models that analyze potential business outcomes and risks.
  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Regularly evaluate and improve reporting processes, looking for opportunities to optimize and automate workflows. Stay updated on BI technologies and best practices, recommending new tools or approaches that could improve data reporting, analysis, and visualization in FP&A.
  • Work closely with Data scientist/ AI team to ensure smooth integration between financial systems and BI tools. This collaboration ensures that data pipelines are robust, scalable, and support FP&A needs for accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, and marketing) to gather business requirements for new reports and ensure that financial data reflects the needs of the broader organization. This alignment is critical for providing a holistic view of financial performance.
