Job Description
Our client is looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their maintenance team at their Calgary facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of electrical systems and equipment within the plant. Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, and other production equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new electrical equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
- Follow all health and safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Support the implementation of preventative maintenance programs by completing assigned tasks and documenting activities.
- Work closely with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of production equipment.
- Assist in managing inventory of electrical spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- Electrician ticket or similar certification.
- 2-3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motor controls, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and their integration with electrical systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
