The Role

System Engineer is an important member of our dynamic global team to manage system design, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and recovery. Ensure seamless service operations for clients and internal systems, enhance efficiency, and boost cybersecurity. Contribute to projects aligned with our business goals. 

Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management

  • Manage and maintain Cisco network devices, including switches and routers.
  • Implement and secure firewall systems (SonicWall, Juniper, FortiGate).
  • Enhance LAN/WAN networks, wireless connectivity, and overall security frameworks.
  • Optimize network efficiency and troubleshoot performance issues.
  • Provision, configure, and administer client systems and global internal services.
  • Monitor infrastructure to ensure system integrity, reliability, and optimal uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with backup operations, security standards, and internal policies.
  • Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities and security risks.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation for infrastructure operations.
  • Liaise with external vendors for escalations, procurement, or technical resolution.

Cloud Engineering & Platform Operations

  • Oversee cloud networking and services across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Analyze cloud usage reports, identify abnormal costs, and implement cost‑optimization strategies.
  • Improve and manage Terraform, Kubernetes (K8S), logging systems, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC)
  • Design and build data engineering, data warehousing, and machine learning platforms
  • Continuously enhance system availability, reliability, observability, and cost‑effectiveness.

Technical Support & Cross‑Team Collaboration

  • Deliver high‑quality technical troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Provide first‑tier user support covering hardware, network, software, and business applications.
  • Collaborate effectively with Development, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams to support internal and external service delivery.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Degree holder with 3+ years of experience in system development or infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing server infrastructure, including Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience in designing resilient system architectures.
  • Experience building large‑scale enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with one or more public clouds: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Cloud infrastructure and database management experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

Databases

  • Strong knowledge of open‑source databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, etc

DevOps, Automation & Infrastructure‑as‑Code

  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiar with GitLab principles and Kubernetes.

Cloud, Monitoring & Observability

  • Familiar with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.

Operating Systems & System Administration

  • Proficient in Linux, bash scripting, and overall system management.
  • Advanced knowledge of system administration, including backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience with core Windows infrastructure: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SQL Server.

Programming

  • Experience coding in Python, Node.js, and shell scripting.

Soft Skills

  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Passion for learning new technologies and strong technical writing ability.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese and Putonghua

Sponsorship
