About the Role

We are looking for a senior marketing leader to build and lead TradeBeyond's Core Marketing function. This is a player-coach role — you will set strategy and personally drive execution quality across product marketing, demand generation, SEO, digital campaigns, brand, and marketing operations.

In the near term you will also carry Product Marketing Director (PMD) responsibilities — owning positioning, messaging, and sales enablement — until that hire is made 6–12 months into the role. You will collaborate closely with our Field Marketing Director who owns field campaigns, the Sourcing Leadership Forum (SLF), and regional marketing.

Responsibilities:

Product Marketing & Positioning

  • Own TradeBeyond's positioning and messaging framework across all product lines — PLM, Order Management, Traceability, Inspection, and Vision/AI
  • Lead product content — one-pagers, website pages, comparison guides, and use-case narratives
  • Drive GTM planning and launch execution for new features and platform milestones
  • Build sales enablement materials with the CRO — decks, battlecards, demo scripts, SDR sequences

Demand Generation & Digital Campaigns

  • Define and execute demand gen strategy across paid search, LinkedIn, retargeting, email nurture, and webinars
  • Own MQL definition, lead scoring, and the Sales & Marketing SLA — enforced both ways with a 24-hour follow-up standard
  • Manage paid media budget, campaign content, and agency relationships

SEO, AI Search & Website

  • Lead organic search strategy — technical SEO, content production, keyword targeting, and programmatic pages
  • Build TradeBeyond's AI search presence — LLM-readable content, answer-engine optimisation (AEO), FAQ pages, and schema markup
  • Own the website CRO program — A/B testing, AI chat assistant, and personalised visitor journeys

Brand, Team & Operations

  • Own brand identity, tone of voice, and visual standards across all marketing outputs
  • Recruit and develop the Core Marketing team — PMD, PMM x2, SEO/Web Lead, and Mktg Ops
  • Build and maintain a marketing performance dashboard aligned to company OKRs and board reporting cadence
  • Manage the marketing budget with clear ROI accountability

Requirements

  • 10+ years B2B marketing, with 5+ years in senior leadership in enterprise SaaS
  • Proven track record building and scaling marketing functions with measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Hands-on product marketing background — can personally write, edit, and pressure-test messaging
  • Experience owning demand generation across multiple channels and managing martech stack
  • Track record of hiring and developing multi-disciplinary marketing teams
  • Deep understanding of enterprise B2B buying cycles, ABM, and complex deal sales motions
  • Strong SEO and AI search proficiency — including modern AEO and LLM content optimisation
  • Data-driven — comfortable with MQL-to-SQL conversion, CAC, LTV, and pipeline attribution
  • Familiar with SaaS metrics — ARR, NRR, CAC payback, Rule of 40
  • AI-first mindset — comfortable using AI tools for content production, campaign execution, and reporting
  • Executive presence — can communicate marketing performance and strategy to CEO and board
  • Player-coach — sets direction but personally engaged in execution quality
